Scoring Decision Guidelines

Win (W) – Assigned to the pitcher who was on the mound for the winning team when the winning run scored.  Starting Pitchers must pitch 4 innings in a 9 inning game, or 3 in a 7 inning game, to be eligible for the win.

Loss (L) - Assigned to the pitcher to whom the winning run is charged, whether it is earned and unearned.

Save (S) – There are two ways to earn a save:

  1. Record the final out with a lead of three runs or fewer

  2. Pitch the final two innings of the game in a manner judged effective by the scorer
